Marty Stuart, a four-time Grammy winner and platinum recording artist, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin, North Carolina.
Stuart is best known for his traditional country music and has roots in gospel and bluegrass. He is a self-taught guitar and mandolin player which led him to join Johnny Cashs back-up band where he played for six years before breaking out on his own.
Stuart has played with music legends such as Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young and Billy Joel. He has toured beside county greats such as Travis Tritt and Merle Haggard.
