Marty Stuart and wife Connie Smith will appear in Washington during the 2004 Christmas Pageant of Peace that will include the lighting of the national Christmas tree. Stuart's band, the Fabulous Superlatives, will back the couple during the December 2 event that will also feature appearances by President George W. Bush, opera singer Carl Tanner, American Idol finalist Kimberley Locke and television personality Willard Scott. Stuart and Smith will debut "Peaceful World," a song they co-wrote. Stuart previously appeared at the event in 1999.
