| Yes, it's true. Country singer Marty Stuart married Grand Ole Opry legend Connie Smith last Tuesday in Pine Ridge, South Dakota where Marty was touring. It was apparently a far different Marty than the one who was best man for Travis Tritt. At that ceremony, Marty whipped out a giant pair of panties when he presented the ring.
But last week's ceremony was done quickly, quietly and privately, with very few details released about the union of Marty, 38, and Connie 55. In fact, Marty's publicist put out a whopping two-sentence release on the affair.
Early response from the Grand Ole Opry, where both bride and groom are members, came from Glen Campbell. "Well, that's great," Glen said on TNN's Opry Backstage. "She can tame ol' Marty."
