Stuart Throws Lacy Twist In Tritt's Nuptials

This appeared in The Tennessean - April 14, 1997

Travis Tritt and Theresa Nelson enjoyed a storybook wedding Saturday with, of course, one sick twist from best man Marty Stuart. More than 300 people--including Tanya Tucker, Connie Smith, Lari White and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd--gathered at Travis' Georgia estate, some 30 miles outside Atlanta.

Theresa arrived in a flower-covered horse-drawn carriage. And Travis--in Oscar de la Renta jacket with tails--greeted her at the altar with an acoustic rendition of his hit More Than You'll Ever Know. 'Twas time for the best man to give up the wedding rings, which Marty had wrapped in a gigantic pair of red lacy panties. No word on the identity of the owner of said underwear.
