Marty Stuart escaped serious injury when he and his uncle were in a bad wreck Friday morning near Marty's hometown of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Marty's friends confirmed. Marty and his uncle, Thomas Wren, were in a pickup truck that was stopped on a highway when the truck was rammed from behind by another vehicle, which was going fast. A TV reporter down there said Marty's truck had stopped to turn in at a driveway. The vehicle that hit Marty's truck exploded. Marty had some big bumps and bruises, but no serious injuries, and he needed no hospital treatment. The uncle and the other driver also didn't have serious injuries. Marty's pickup truck, though, was totaled. Marty is staying in Mississippi until later this week. No charges have been filed so far. Written by Brad Schmitt |
