This year's CMA Music Festival buzz was about newcomers Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Jason Michael Carroll and, of course, Carrie Underwood. But it was 79-year-old Porter Wagoner who delivered one of the most memorable sets of the week. The ultimate showman, his silver-like physique adorned with sequined wagon wheels, breathed new life into old hits such as "Green, Green Grass of Home" and "A Satisfied Mind" during Marty Stuart's Late Night Jam on Wednesday.
Honorable mention goes to Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives who delivered country classics as well as their bluegrass version of "Stayin' Alive," an homage to Stuart's neighbor, Barry Gibb.
