Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Country Music: Aptly titled and strikingly delivered, Country Music is a return to fine form for Stuart. "Tip Your Hat" and "Farmer's Blues" feature guest turns from some of country's greatest stars, but the album's highlight is a wailing version of the Michael Henderson/Wally Wilson barroom stomper, "Wishful Thinkin' ".

Various Artists, Livin', Lovin', Losin' – Songs of the Louvin Brothers: One of the best country albums of 2003 was a collaborative effort between great vocalists and 16 timeless songs from country's greatest duo. Producer Carl Jackson sounds incredible singing with Merle Haggard.
