When Marty Stuart was just
a little boy "and things were not as they seemed,"
he played his guitar on his Grandpa Stuart's front
porch "and went ahead and dreamed" of playing on the
Grand Old Opry stage in Nashville. Saturday night,
August 31, 2013, Marty Stuart's stage resonated
across America as RFD-TV viewers watched The
Marty Stuart Show as recorded on June 28 right
here in Philadelphia in our historic Ellis Theater.
And the Marty Parties continued as Marty's fans formed their own parties to watch the show. Kaye and Bou Rowell's expansive home on Golf Course Road provided hospitable seating for their "depot and 5:30 a.m. Bible study friends" and their spouses. Concessions provided grilled hamburgers with all the trimmings, followed by birthday cake and homemade ice cream in celebration of Douglas, Bou and Rachel's birthdays. Special guests were Kaye and Bou's 11-year-old grandson, Gabe, and his parents, Douglas and Amber Rowell of Hernando. Others sharing the fun- evening were Brenda and Larry Mills, Brenda and David Vowell, Kathy and Al Posey, Kay and Stanley Salter, Andrea and Tim Moore, Lynda Stribling and Rachel Evans. By
