Bragging rights run rampant among us with Connie Smith's recent induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. This honor was awarded to Connie, Garth Brooks and Hargus "Pig" Robbins at the Medallion Ceremony, considered country music's most prestigious event. In acceptance of the honor, Connie said, "I believe with all my heart that this was God's destiny for me, to be a girl country singer. I will continue to be until He tells me otherwise." Connie is married to Marty Stuart, John and Hilda's boy and Jennifer's brother, from Route 8, Philadelphia, Mississippi. We are proud to claim her as our own! Meet Hilda Stuart at The Depot Tuesday, November 13, at 6 p.m. as she signs copies of her book, Choctaw Gardens. Hilda will be accompanied by her son, Marty Stuart and his wife, Connie Smith, newest inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame. By Rachel Evans |
