Preparations are in full swing for a new exhibit that will soon kick off at the MSU Riley Center.

It's the Sparkle and Twang exhibit featuring authentic memorabilia from the career of country star and Philadelphia native, Marty Stuart. The pieces are starting to arrive in Meridian and the exhibit is filled with country music history.

"Marty Stuart is a keeper of past history, besides being an incredible musician, himself a virtuoso, he used to hang out with the older guys," explains Renee White, the curator.

The exhibit will run July 10th through September 18th. Stuart will join country legend, Merle Haggard, for a performance July 25th at the Riley Center.
