More than a hundred people turned out today to take a look at the A.P. Carter cabin. It was moved from its original location just up the road from the Carter Fold. Built in the 1850`s, the cabin suffered some deterioration, but it`s been reconstructed using most of the logs used when it was first built. Country music stars Marty Stuart and Tom T. Hall played a big part in the restoration process. They say they did it to keep part of country music`s history alive The restoration process of the cabin has been in the works for more than 30 years. June Carter and Johnny Cash raised funds to start the effort in 1970.
