Baker & Taylor has partnered with Nashville’s Davis-Kidd Booksellers, Sugar Hill Records, and country music star Marty Stuart on a merchandise display dubbed Marty Stuart’s The Art of Country Music.

The display, which Baker & Taylor is calling “a store within Davis-Kidd’s Nashville outlet,” will feature a section called Marty Selects, which will highlight CDs, DVDs, and books selected by Stuart. To help promote the section, at 7:00 p.m. on August 24, Stuart will discuss and sign copies of his new album Ghost Train: The Studio B Sessions (which releases that day) at Davis-Kidd, 2121 Green Hills Drive, Nashville, Tennessee.

Steve Harkins, Vice President of Independents for Baker & Taylor, said, “This is a dream project for a company like Baker & Taylor–whose people are passionate about music, books and movies. We’re eager to lend our merchandising expertise to Marty Stuart’s The Art of Country Music.” Chad Showalter, Marketing Director for Davis-Kidd, said the store opened its doors in Nashville for the first time 30 years ago—the same year that Stuart joined Johnny Cash’s backing band. “Since then, Marty has inspired millions to love country music, and Davis-Kidd Booksellers has helped so many in the Nashville community love music and reading,” he said.
