Two country music stars with acoustic guitars playing their hits. That's what you'll get tonight at Easton's State Theatre. Travis Tritt and Marty Stuart will perform together starting at 8 p.m. as part of their "No Hats" tour. It's actually a reprise of a tour they did together in the 1990s. (They called it "No Hats" because the commercial trend at the time was toward acts like Garth Brooks who wore big hats.) The duo had a hit together called "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'." And of course they've had a lot of solo hits. Tritt's biggest hits include "I'm Gonna Be Somebody," "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" and "Best of Intentions." Some of Marty Stuart's best known songs are "Hillbilly Rock," "Thanks To You" and "Western Girls." This is a great chance to see two country musicians in an intimate setting. And I like the idea of them playing together with just acoustic guitars. It should be loose and spontaneous. By John A. Zukowski |
