Haggard, Stuart Concert Canceled

Here's some bad news for local fans of Merle Haggard and Marty Stuart: The "Electric Barnyard" tour headlining the two won't be coming to Huntsville after all, the tour's promoters announced.
The traveling tent show was announced a week ago as scheduled for Aug. 19 at Joe Davis Stadium, based upon press releases and phone calls from the promoters, Jam Productions of Chicago.
A promoter spokeswoman, Kristen Bartholomew, said this week that a number of the dates on the tour were suddenly canceled, "apparently to shorten the time on the road." No dates east of Illinois will be included, she said.
Since tickets were not to go on sale until July 19, there are no refunds to deal with.
The traveling tent show was originally announced as a 24-city tour covering 17 states and was also to have included Rhonda Vincent, Connie Smith and the Old Crow Medicine Show
