Four-time Grammy winning, platinum recording country star Marty Stuart and his band The Fabulous Superlatives will take the Spencer Theater spotlights on Saturday, March 16, 2012 at 7 p.m.

The eclectic traditionalist performs an array of rhythms and ballads that have been credited with leading the charge in preserving the roots and history of traditional country music.

Marty's roster of platinum recordings include a plethora of styles: from his hillbilly rock of Tempted to his tribute to the Sioux American Indian culture in Badlands, soulful gospel in Souls' Chapel to his barn-burning bluegrassy tunes.

Just recently Stuart, a Grand Ole Opry star, and his band of vocalists and musicians, sold out the historic Ryman Auditorium as he sang all his hits and works from his latest album release Ghost Train: (The Studio B Sessions).

“Traditional country music is what inspires me,” says Stuart, a Mississippi native. “It’s the music I most cherish, the culture in which I was raised. It’s the bedrock upon which the empire of country music is built, the empowering force that provides this genre with lasting credibility.”
