Marty Stuart An Opry Regular

If you plan to visit the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, it's a good bet you'll see Marty Stuart.

Not everyone who's an Opry member performs every week, but Marty is a particularly avid supporter of the institution, and he performed on the grand ol' stage at the Ryman Auditorium each of the first six weekends of the year. He's also slated to be back February 29, March 1, March 7 and 8 and March 22 before he takes his band, the Fabulous Superlatives, out on tour again.

"The Grand Ole Opry is entering an exciting era," Marty says. "While there's so much history behind us, the challenge is now forging a new chapter and making more history. I love being a part of that."

Marty celebrated 15 years as a member in November, and last month, he and wife Connie Smith helped to induct Charlie Daniels as the Opry's newest member.

Marty plays during three Opry segments this weekend, joining the Del McCoury Band, the Whites, Jimmy C. Newman, Elizabeth Cook and Bobby Osborne & The Rocky Top X-Press.
