Watch for Columbia Records' Tribute To Tradition due out this Fall. The album presents the artists of today interpreting classic traditional country music. The first single was Doug Stone's Out Of My Mind, released last Spring. Some artists went from behind the mic to behind the console, including Vince Gill, who produced Patty Loveless' recording of Wine, Women And Song.

Marty Stuart's contribution will feature an all-star cast performing a self-penned song, "Same Old Train." And he's producing the cut.

Speaking of Marty Stuart, the MCA recording artist plans a new album release on that label around the first of the year. And come September, he'll have his very first show of his original photographs. Seemed award-winning Life magazine photographer Ed Clark has asked that some of the singer's photographs be displayed in conjunction with his show in Nashville. Plus, an article written by Marty was published in the prestigious Oxford American.

The acclaimed a guitarist also had the honor of having a Fender Signature electric guitar issued this year. You'll remember that a similar honor was bestowed upon him in 1997 when Martin released a signature acoustic guitar bearing his name.
