Marty Stuart has
enjoyed a busy year with his photography exhibit
at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in
Nashville, his television show for RFD-TV and
mainly, his new album, Saturday Night /
Sunday Morning, set for release September
30. Marty's new album contains two discs, with each exploring a different side of humanity. The first record, Saturday Night/Rough Around the Edges, celebrates the good times, while the second record, Sunday Morning/Cathedral, showcases Marty's love for gospel and spiritual tunes. While he's proud of the album, he's equally pumped about his photography exhibit, American Ballads: The Photographs of Marty Stuart. The run has been so successful that he has already fielded offers to take the exhibit to other cities. "That has been one of the highlights for this year," Marty tells Country Weekly. "It's such a different audience than what country music usually plays to. People from all walks of life come and tell me how much they liked the exhibit. I am so happy that country music has finally found its mark in settings like the Frist Center. And by the same token, if we can introduce one person to the world of country music, that's good, too."
