| Although the Urban Cowboy craze eventually cooled off, the casual cowboy chic style of jeans and boots lingered and still remains dominant in country styles today. While many performers opt for the casual look, some appreciate the flash of yesteryear's country, such as Marty Stuart.
"When I first put my band together, I stated calling guys in Porter Wagoner's old band asking if they had any old Nudie suits Manuel had designed," said Marty. "I bought their old hillbilly costumes because no one was wearing them. Everyone thought we were cowpunks, but it was just a way of dressing a band at an affordable price."
