Marty Stuart, Grammy-winning writer, entertainer and Nashville's International Ambassador for Tourism, was honored today by Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Phil Bredesen to recognize his contributions to the city this past year. In addition to his position as Ambassador for the city, Stuart wrote and performed in the video Dream, Dream, Dream, which is currently being run on CMT and CMT Europe.
"Marty has been an outstanding spokesman for Nashville," says Butch Spyridon, Executive Vice President of Nashville's Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We hope he'll continue for many years." Stuart was presented with two first-class round-trip tickets on American Airlines to anywhere in the world and a collector's edition Hatch Print of Bill Monroe as a thank you for his work and enthusiasm.
Stuart is currently touring in support of his recently released MCA album, Love And Luck, and the current single/video and title song. The new album takes listeners for a flat-out spin that may leave them a bit dizzy, but thoroughly enthralled."
