Q. I've heard that Marty Stuart is quite a photographer. Is that true?

A. The Grand Ole Opry member is indeed a shutterbug and his subjects are usually fellow country artists. When Marty was just 12 years old, he snapped his first photo of a country singer--Connie Smith, who was performing in his hometown in Mississippi and who is now his wife. Marty totes his camera with him nearly everywhere he goes, and he recently teamed up for an exhibit with famed photojournalist Ed Clark. "Photography is a hobby to me done from the perspective of shooting snapshots at a family reunion," explains Marty, who shoots his subjects in black and white. "I've always loved documenting the people I play music with. I have been fortunate to work in the presence of some masters in music."
