Marty Stuart is headed across the pond next week. The singer-songwriter has a six-night tour of the UK in support of his latest album, Ghost Train. He will make stops in Scotland, England and Ireland.

A tour in a non-traditional country market, such as the UK, is ideal for an artist like Marty, whom fellow crooner Dierks Bentley considers a "bridge into country music." "I get it, I understand it, from A.P. Carter all the way to Miranda Lambert's latest record," Marty told The Boot about the format. "I love being accepted and known as part of that whole story, and I feel that my place, and what matters, is I truly understand the history, the customs of country music."

Since its release, Ghost Train has garnered two Grammy nominations: Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for 'I Run to You' and Best Country Instrumental for 'Hummingbyrd.'

Upon returning from the UK, Marty will make additional tour stops throughout the US, including shows in Kentucky, California, Oregon and Texas.

Marty Stuart UK Tour Dates:

January 28 - Glasgow, Scotland
January 29 - Gateshead, England
January 30 - Nottingham, England
January 31 - Milton Keynes, England
February 1 - London, England
February 2 - Dublin, Ireland
