My mom watches RFD all the time and I try, too. The other day she asked me a question about Marty. I could not answer it. The question was "Why does Marty wear a scarf? Is it just a trademark or did he have an accident and that covers it up?" Keep doing all the great work ....

I was at the concert in Webster, MA to see Marty. I have never, ever seen a concert as good as his. He was the best and the greatest to me. I wish I did not live so far away from where he does his concerts because I would be there all the time. He is someone I can listen to all day long. If you did not see Marty play, you have to see his man and his band. They are the best. You will not be dissatisfied. I love you Marty, and you're the best as far as country music goes.

Marty, we are new fans! Saw your show in Mountain View, AR on September 4. Great performance! We spend a lot of time in Mt. View and hear lots of good music. This is the only country concert we have attended at the Ozark Folk Center. You and your band put on a great show! Also visited the Sparkle & Twang exhibit in Meridian, MS on the 13th. Enjoyed it very much.

I think that Marty and His Fabulous Superlatives are the best band in the world, no matter what anyone else says. "The Apostle" Paul Martin is a great guy and I accept all his decisions. Kenny, Harry, and Marty also get my support. I hope they ge to the UK so I can go and see them.

I just saw the Sparkle and Twang exhibit at the Autry Museum. My mom, Natalie Rubin, has been a docent there for over 15 years and neither she nor the curator can answer a question I have regarding the exhibit. The first display as you enter is a wall plaque with sayings, writings, and at the bottom is a drawing of Gene Autry BLINDFOLDED, and I would simply like to know if there is any significance or reason for this. My mom and dad blindfolded me and took me to the exhibit for my birthday last week. It was fabulous, but still the question lingers.

I was eating lunch in Oceola, IA and Marty Stuart et al came into the same roadside diner. Quite a thrill!! The patrons in the diner were quite impressed by the bus river's ability to park the bus in the small parking lot. Not sure what he ordered for lunch, but I did shake his hand ... pretty cool.

Hi Marty. I am so saddened at the death of your dear friend and legend Porter Wagoner! I loved his many shows on TV as well as when our Minnesota star Rockie Lynne was at the Grand Ole Opry and Porter was so supportive. My prayers are with his family and all who knew him so well. Also, Minnesota would love to see you and Connie come and play in our state!!! My pen pal of many years tells me of all the shows that she saw that were so GREAT. My dear friend is Barb Smith. Take care. Give my love to Connie Also!!! Forever both of your fans.

Hi Marty, I saw you playing a Telecaster once. I noticed that the body seemed to be thicker than the normal factory size. I liked the way you had it and would like to have mine like that. I am used to playing a Gibson J30 which is thicker than my Telecaster. I feel like I have nothing in my hand hen I play the Telecaster due to the shallow body. How can I do this, and did you add a lot of weight, or did you use some type of composite body to keep the weight down. I think I would enjoy playing the Telecaster more if it had the thickness of my Gibson.

Nice site. I have been a fan of Marty's for years. I was living in Florida around '92 or '93 and my son and I saw him in concert at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall at the Edison Community College campus. My son was only 9 at the time. At the end of the concert, they invited everyone to meet Marty. I encouraged my son to go and meet him. However, I didn't find out until afterwards that they said only members of the fan club could meet him. However, Marty did not disappoint. My son tried to get in, but security said he couldn't come in. Marty saw this and said, "Let the boy in." My son tried to give him a few dollars and Marty said, "How about I sign one and give them all back." My son was elated. We still have the dollar bill. My son is now 24 years old and plays guitar himself. I was saddened to hear today of John Cash's house catching on fire in Hendersonville, Tennessee. It showed a picture of Marty and his wife standing there overlooking. Houses have a sentimental value as the one I grew up in as well. God bless all of them.

I have a great idea: One of the greatest westerns of all time was "Rio Bravo," starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, and Walter Brennan. Well, it should be remade. Robert Duvall or Clint Eastwood could take the John Wayne role, Randy Travis could take the Dean Martin role, and Marty Stuart could take the Ricky Nelson role. That leaves the role originally acted by Walter Brennan. There are lots of people who could pull that off. So how about it? A remake of "Rio Bravo" with these people would be great.

I started listening to country music around 1991. Marty's music was he first song I heard. Now that was my kind of music. Some good honky tonkin' music. I was never a fan of country music but he opened the doors to me listening to the music. I had bought the tapes. Then I found out he was coming to the Hanford Fox Theatre. Oh I had to go hear him in person play that good music. Being a member of the fan club, I got backstage passes to see him. It was great. Very handsome man. If only he could come back to that theatre to perform. A wonderful entertainer and you deserve all those awards and many more to come. Thanks for all your music. God bless you.

My husband and I drove all the way from Florida for the show at the Handlebar in Greenville, South Carolina. It was my anniversary present. We arrived at the venut at about 8 p.m. only to be told that the show was canceled. The bus was stuck in Nashville. The owner told us they waited until 6 p.m. to call, wich is pretty bush league in my book. I was REALLY looking forward to seeing him play. Never have and now probably never will. Fortunately, the opening band "Tater" played a great set to ease the pain of those in the same situation as us. What a disappointment.

I went to a Marty Party last night in Chattanooga, TN. He and his band were smoking hot. What can ya say about just how tight his band is!!!! Kenny on lead. The vocals from the rest of the guys were just killer. They played a good 2-1/2 hour set, then all of them stuck around and signed anything you gave them until the last person left the club. I just watched the special on CMT. I just wanted to let you know I think it's great  what you are doing. I'm from Raleigh, MS. That is where your aunt was a principal in the '80s. You came and visited her one year. Are you amazed how Philadelphia, MS has grown with the casinos and all. Would you ever consider playing there? I live in Houston now. Have been since 1984, but Mississippi is still home. Keep up the good work and if there is anyway to help the people in Pine Ridge, please let me know.

Hi Marty and Connie. I want to wish both of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Marty, I'm the lady from Minnesota that has the great pen pal Barb Smith from Maryland. She sent me a couple pictures of you and Connie. I was ticked to death as I have never seen you both in concert at the same time. I'm the lady that usually makes you the big cards with you and Connie on them. Much love to you and Connie.

What a beautiful song Marty and Connie sang on the Opry tonight. I think they should record it and release it to radio. Would be nice to hear Marty and Connie over the airwaves again. The lyrics are so fitting. Everyone needs to hear the song.

My music buddy, Linda Saari, and I saw Marty in Duluth, MN on October 6. This is my 25th show or so. It was as fun, exciting AND enjoyable as the very first one 14 years ago!!! He will go down in my mind and heart as one of the greatest, right along with Waylon, Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, and Merle Haggard. And The Fabulous Superlatives are just that! Here's hoping for a whole bunch more years of  Marty shows! P.S. This is a GREAT place for Marty fans. Thanks so much.

Hello. My name is Rhonda Wanamaker. I live down here in McMinnville, Tennessee. I've known Marty Stuart ever since he started performing with the great and late Lester Raymond Flatt. I've been a fan of Marty Stuart's since he played mandolin for Lester Flatt's band. I've known Marty ever since he was 13 and I was only 11. I'm his number one fan. Marty has said that to a lot of people. Marty, hope you and Connie will make a new CD real soon. I think you and Connie make a really good couple. I love you both. Keep up y'alls good work. Good luck in the near future. Love you always.

I started listening to Marty in 1991. My husband died from cancer on October 27, 1991. That night, I found myself alone, scared, and unsure of how I was going to face life on my own. I began crying uncontrollably. Jut then, the song "Hey Baby" came over the radio. It may sound silly to you, but I felt that my dear Howard was reaching out to me through this song to comfort me. That was the first time I heard Marty sing. I've been a fan ever since. I got to meet him in 1994. Nice guy!

We are so excited Marty is coming back to our neck of the woods. It has been about two years since we saw him. We used to be in the fan club until he quit coming around. We will be going to Hiawassee, GA this weekend and we are excited. Hope he knows he has fans here so he will come back. Thanks for the website. Keep up the good work!

Just saw Marty last night right here in Ohio. He was so good. I felt the crowd was not very upbeat for a working night and I felt Marty's disappointment in this. But being the trouper he is, he still gave his all. I'd never seen the Fabulous Superlatives. They are all very good!!! I've seen Harry through the years and am very glad he is with Marty now. I do miss Larry Marrs, though. I saw Travis on Saturday and Marty on Monday. I think my summer has ended very high this year.

Thank you for the visit to Sweden and Furuvik. It was a great show. Me and my friend liked it very much. We traveled 2,000 km with my car just for Marty's show. We think it was a little bit of a shame that Marty didn't give his fans in Skandinavia 30 minutes to sign a few hats and CDs. All of us took our CDs to Furuvik and other stuff that we have to buy in Nashville, when we have visited Fan Fair a few years back for Marty to sign. All artists must be gentle and nice on the way to the top. They meet the fans even on the way down.

Thanks for the extra info. I just want to let everybody know that Marty is a great guy, not only to his fans, but also to his family in general. I was married to Marty's first cousin. We got to visit with Marty every time he came home to Philadelphia, MS. I have now divorced, but have a nine-year-old son that thinks the world of his cousin. We watched him on the Grand Ole Opry te night that he and Connie inducted Terri Carl into the "family" and my son asked me if he thought that Marty had forgotten about him (since his father has moved away and my son does not get to visit as often). I told him that there was no way Marty would ever forget him. He looks too much like the Stuart family to be forgotten. It does, however, help me out to know when he is coming to this neck of the woods, so that my son can keep in touch with his family.

Marty is such a talented entertainer. I don't know why radio won't play is songs any more. His music is so much better than what is being played on the radio these days. I get so much pleasure visiting this site and reading about Marty. Takes me back to the good old days when Marty's songs were in the top 10.

I have always loved Marty and his music. I look forward to getting back in his fan club. I wish him the best that life has to offer and commend him for his accomplishments. His new band brings out the best in each of the band members. I could listen to them all day if time in like allowed it.
