I listened to Miss Connie Smith on E.T. Midnite Jam, WSM 650 radio last nite. Connie was super and all her guests were great too. Loved hearing her sing "How Great Thou Art" and the other songs too. She has a great voice and she's a classy lady. I think she will go far in country music. Hope to meet her in Eminence, MO on 5/11/04 and purchase a good CD from her and maybe a photo. Thanks and may the good Lord take a likin' to you all.

As a musician myself, I have learned much from listening to Marty and watching him perform. I appreciate what he has done for the country music industry. Marty is a true gentlemen, performer, very much down to earth, and one of the best guitarists I've ever heard. His songs are full of energy and Marty never forgets to recognize his great musicians. He is funny, sincere and most important, takes his music serious! He is devoted to his fellow musicians and friends, and it shows in every performance. Marty is not about Marty. He is about country music in its truest form and will not compromise. I've met Marty several times at concerts but, if I had one wish, it would be to chat with Marty one on one about music and tell him how much he is appreciated. Marty Stuart, a true country legend!!!!

The "Country Music" CD has be the best thing that I've heard coming down the pike since "The Pilgrim". The true essence of rural music rings with every song. It made me pull out my old turntable dust it off and put on "Foggy Mountain Chimes" by Lester and Earl. I even dug out my old Carter and Ralph Stanley albums. Jimmy Martin, Doc Watson well you get the idea. I put your CD back on after Mr. Cash's "Live at Folson Prison". It just fell right into place. "Tip Your Hat" made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. You can take that as a compliment. Keep it up Marty. Adios.

I have a picture of Marty & myself taken at the festival. Nice site -- it will be one of my favorite browsing spots.

I have adored and admired Marty Stuart since the late '80s. My music collection at the time included such artists as Motley Crue, Ratt, Warrant, Cinderella, Def Leppard, Skid Row, and Marty Stuart. I was greatly influenced by him, then, and loved his music since I first heard the song "Arlene" at my cousin's pushing. :) He is a wonderful singer/songwriter/musician. His love of tradition and of bluegrass took me back to my roots, and his testimony has helped me in my journey back to where I belong. God bless Marty Stuart! I am a writer of sorts, and do write songs/poetry. Marty is a large inspiration to me. His love for the gospel, and the truest of heart he carries will never be forgotten. He is a prodigy, and his work will be here forever. Best of love, and most of luck to him.

Hello, I am a fan of Marty, I met him a few years back when I worked at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. He was such a gentleman, he opened the door for ME, Yes ME! Plus he asked how I was doing. Working them for a couple of years I never met anyone as nice as him other than Charlie Daniels and John Anderson, all three were "The Tops" in my book. I certainly met quiet a few there but none were as nice as these three. Marty is a doll! My girlfriend here in Huntsville got to speak with him recently via cell phone in South Carolina at a concert. Shes as crazy over him as I.

Hi fans...I'm a international flight attendant based in London, England...I'm a huge fan of country music which goes back to my boarding scholl days in Mississippi.....I was working a international flight from new york to London...as I'm pouring the coffee and serving food in business class, I notice a older British woman wearing a Marty Stuart t- shirt...I was so shocked that a Britsh woman was a fan...I yelled across the airplane aisle as I'm working and I said....is that Marty Stuart on your t-shirt...and she said "yes".....we chatted a minute, as other passengers listened out of curiosity, and she said, "He sure did break a lot of hearts when he married Connie."..I said, "Yes he did......He is the only reason I watch Grand Ole Opry.... If anyone knows when he will be performing on the Grand Ole Opry live, let me know....I'll fly over in a minute...Thanks.

My name is Kyle. I am now 13 years old. I have always been a big fan of Marty's since I was 13 months old. My mother would put CMT on as long as I could see and hear Marty I was content. My mother use to take me around to Marty's concerts that was in GA, FL, Al. I have pictures of me and Marty (even on stage with him). He signed my first plastic Fender Strat. copy, along with Travis. It is hanging on my bedroom wall. Marty told me when I learned to play that he would buy me a real guitar. Since my mother has become ill, she is not able to take me around anymore. I have sat in my room for 4 years and taught myself how to play. I've learned to play in the style of people from Jimmie Rodgers to Allen Collins of Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many between. But my all time FAVORITE today is still Marty Stuart! You are the best. Sincerely, Your biggest fan.

My boyfriend and I saw Marty Stuart and his band members at a Rhinebeck Fair and all of them started to complain about the sun and heat. Hey, as a fan, I was hot too, but we, as an audience didn't complain. I was really surprised to hear him complain so much. We left to another concert in Rhinebeck Fair also and they performed on another day and it was another humid and hot and hazy day. They didn't complain as much. Hey, I still love that "HILLBILLY ROCK" I am a true Marty Stuart fan in my heart and in my dancing. All the songs have that certain beat that everybody can dance to. I even have most of my friends and relatives doing the hill-billy rock. It is alot of fun to teach.

I have been a Marty Stuart fan since 1978. That was the year my mother dragged me to a Johnny Cash concert at the Ohio State Fair. There on the stage behind Johnny was the cutest guy I had ever seen!!!!! I got his autograph after the show & have followed his career ever since. I have seen him in concert many times. I seen him in Cincinnati with Travis Tritt. I stood in line for 2 hours to see him when he made a personal appearance at the local Biggs Store. Of course I got another autograph right next to the first one I had gotten in 1978. I also seen him when he appeared in Wilmington, Ohio a few years ago. He is the greatest!!! All I can say is.... Thanks Mom for dragging me to that Johnny Cash concert!!!!!!! Marty is one of the best entertainers around.

I was in Pigeon Forge July 4th. Marty was to perform at Patriot Park at around 8:30. I went to Ruby Tuesday's for a late lunch, around 1:30. I happened to look out the window and saw 3 guys walking down the sidewalk, well I took a second look at the next window as they walked by. My husband said "What are you looking at"? I told him that the guy in the middle looked like someone I have seen before, and he said "Who"? I told him it looked like Marty Stuart. Of course he replied," You know that was just someone who probably looked a bit like him. Of course I heard others in the restuurant making the same replies. I wanted to hurry and leave, because I wanted my husband to see this guy also. But to my surprise I happened to turn around and they walked in and was seated on the other side of the glass petition about one booth above me. I had eye-to-eye contact with him. That is probably the last time I will ever get that close to him, still not knowing if it was him, but I do wish I had of had enough nerve to find out and discretely ask him when I left the resturant would he follow me to my truck and take a picture with me. He is so good looking, and if that was him when I tell friends in Roxboro about my experience. Of course they will say the same thing. It was probably someone that looked like him. I do wish I had proof. I guess I missed my big chance. And now I guess I want know, because I didn't take that big step.

The opportunity to go to Fan Fair finally happened for me. As always in life, you have your pros and cons about different things that come your way. I was a little disappointed in the way some of the Country Music Stars treated their fans. However Marty was the exception. Although he meets many people and doesn't remember them all, I let him know that his show was the one that was the most enjoyable to me. His Marty Party really rocked and I will forever be grateful that I decided to attend. He really impressed me by the lengths that he would go for his fans. For a man to literally take bites of his sandwich between cameras snapping and signing autographs is truly a man who cares about who puts food on his table. For that, he has my utmost respect. It shows alot about his character in regards to caring about his fans. He obviously knows why we, his fans, attend fan fair in the first place. I also told him that I was going to join his fan club the minute I got home. And join I did. It was so nice to see that time out to greet his public. And again, I know that he can't remember us all, but the offer for some really good Louisiana Gumbo still stands.

The first time I saw Marty was in October 1992. He and Travis Tritt were on tour together. It was a night I will never forget as long as I live. It was my very first concert and what a great time I had with both. My encounter with Marty was unusual for me he was on his way to get something to drink for himself and Travis and he had to pass me on the way to get the drinks. He brushed against my wheelchair and I asked him if he was okay and he said yes. It made me feel bad at the thought of him getting hurt because of me. On his way back I asked him if I could take Travis' his drink he laughed and said. "No thanks. You might get in to trouble." I said I wouldn't care. I was wanting get close to them both. I first got to hear Marty Stuarts music on Cable tv when it was first installed here in England in 1985. It was on the CMT (new country music) channel and the very first song I heard was his NOW THAT'S COUNTRY and since then have been an avid fan of his. I have become a fan of a lot of artists the second favourite being Dwight Yoakam. He is always in good spirits and so energetic that whenever I'm feeling down, I put one of his videos on and am soon up dancing with all the others shown in the video. Looks a bit daff dancing on your own in the living room but I don't care. LOL (lot's of laughs). I look forward to hearing more news.
