I wanted to say I had a chance to visit the new Hall of Fame and enjoyed every minute of it! I hope Marty and Connie will always continue to carry on traditional country so generations to come can enjoy it just as we have. Wishing a very "Happy Birthday" to Marty!

I have been a big fan of Marty's since I saw him at The South Carolina Peach Festival held in Gaffney.

Just wanted to wish Connie a speedy vocal recovery. The Opry is just not the same without her. I am praying for her and the rest of America during these tragic times.

I am from New Hebron, MS where we are looking forward to Marty's appearance at the fall festival on September 8. This will be an honor to have Marty Stuart in our town.

I love Marty Stuart soooo bad. I am so glad I found this site. I am going to enter the fan club in about a month. Please come to Chattanooga.

Marty's an original! I remember in the late 80's having to order his albums because the record stores here didn't carry them. I put Marty in the same group as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Elvis, Waylon, Willie and everyone else who has been unafraid to do music their way no matter what the going trend is. To me, these are the trend setters. Thank you, Marty, for great music and being original!

Marty has been my favorite for years. I have been lucky enough to see him in Nashville a couple times. Hope he makes it to Alaska some day.

I just found this site today so will wish Connie Smith a very happy birthday for today, 14th August. I am a huge fan of Marty and Connie. Marty's music seems to keep up with modern country while keeping his roots in the old style. I never tire of listening to him. Many years ago, I traveled to Glasgow with family and friends during a snowstorm just to see Connie Smith when she was appearing on the Faron Young show. I still can see her dressed in a beautiful lilac gown and singing "How Great Thou Art" in that marvelous voice of hers. It was simply magical.

Have been a Marty fan for years. Just wanted to let you know that my husband and I have seen Marty every time he's been Pittsburgh. Last year, unfortunately, my husband couldn't go because of a motorcycle accident the day before, so I took my 5-year-old daughter. What a new fan Marty has. We sat right up front at the Pepsi Cola Roadhouse and he was so kind to her. We then got to meet him and get our picture taken with him. My husband got the picture enlarged and it sits in our game room. Marty is one of the nicest performers I have ever met. Was disappointed that he hasn't been booked at the Pepsi Cola Roadhouse this year, but we hope to see him real soon. Thanks for letting me share my story. I really enjoyed having the great opportunity to meet Marty when he visited my church last Sunday (The First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills). Unfortunately, his wife Connie was still in Nashville and I didn't get to meet them both. I have visited the Marty Party website and love it as well as this one. I also just joined the fan club and wrote him a letter to the fan club. Marty is such a downright nice guy. Thanks for being such an all-around great person that gives so much joy to so many people. I want to wish you and all of your family the best that life has to offer.

My eleven-year-old son enjoys listening to "Burn Me Down." He really gets into the song when he hears it. We have a wonderful friend as far as I am concerned. The "Best" DJ there is on the radio is on the San Jose station KRTY. His name is Jerry Hall and he does the programming for the station and he always makes sure he plays "Burn Me Down" so that my son Marshall can enjoy it. Do you know of any concerts that Marty will be doing in California, possibly near San Jose, CA? I would love to take Marshall to one of his concerts. I really admire Marty and his wife Connie Smith.

I found this very interesting, but as much as Marty is talented, I would love to get a picture of his wife Connie Smith. I have a lot of her old albums and I can't seem to find a website or store with her oldies in it. I'm looking for "Connie Smith Sings Bill Anderson." Please tell me where I can find it. I was 15 when I first heard it. It was my dad's and it was lost when he went to Korea. Please help me. Thank you so much.

The Mineral Wells concert was fantastic. I can't believe Marty was 10 minutes from my house (when Marty and Connie were visiting with "Fast Freddie") and I missed him!

Thanks for the great job on the website and a special thank you to the fan club members who attended the fan club party and reported on it. They brought it home to me when I couldn't go there myself.

I can't really believe my favorite singer in the world (Marty Stuart) is singing in the movie that my favorite actor (Matt Damon) is playing in (All The Pretty Horses). Marty reminds me of my other number one (Conway Twitty). I really do miss him. I cry every time I hear him sing. I'm glad I finally got to see Marty at Dollywood and actually got to touch and shake his hand. My friend thought I would faint. I have a friend that I exchange pictures with. We (my wife and myself) had the great pleasure of seeing Marty at the Elvis Festival in Tupelo a short time ago and enjoyed it tremendously. There is something that I would really appreciate an answer to. What model Fender does he play on stage that appears to be a telecaster, but with a much thicker body? And what is the thicker body for? I hope that Marty will be in our area again soon.

Hello from Marty's distant relatives in Roby, Texas. Jerry and Linda Stuart. We talked to Marty in Lubbock, TX at the fair a couple of years ago.

Been a Marty fan for many years and would love to know if Marty is planning on coming to Nova Scotia in the near future.

Just got back from my first fan club party and it was great. Jodee did a fantastic job planning this and the tour of the Hall of Fame was very interesting. Marty and Connie looked gorgeous, as always, and seemed very glad to see all of the fans. Can't wait until next year.

My aunt and I very much enjoyed the concert in Tupelo, MS during the Elvis Presley Festival in which Marty performed. We were fortunate enough to meet Marty and have our picture taken with him. Marty did not know that he is a member of our family. We were also able to give him a picture of his Aunt Nellie Fay and a copy of the Crosby Family Genealogy that I am working on. My grandmother and his Great Grandmother were sisters. I also have a picture of his great, great, great Grandmother, Orra Alice Crosby, if he is interested.

I have had the privilege of seeing Marty in concert twice in the last month. The first was at the Casey Jones Railroad Festival in Jackson, TN and just last weekend, I saw him at the 3rd annual Elvis Presley Festival held in Elvis' hometown of Tupelo, MS. I was on the front row both times and have some really great pictures of Marty. I have never seen a more energetic entertainer. He is the greatest!! One minute you'll be singing along with Marty; the next dancing in the aisles; then laughing and, even sometimes, crying. Love those beautiful eyes and that great hair. Some of my favorite Marty songs are "Hey Baby," "Little Things," "Western Girls," and, of course, "Hillbilly Rock."

Have been a Marty Stuart fan for many years. Saw him and talked to him when he was in Omaha.

Marty seems so down-to-earth. He really gets the fans into his shows. He is what country music is all about.

I have been a long-time fan. I saw Marty in concert at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana in 1994. It was a perfect show.

I think Marty is a great person. He really performs good and is a very good emcee at the Grand Ole Opry. Maybe I will get to meet him in person some day. Also, I would give anything if I could play the mandolin like him.

I think Marty is wonderful. We can hardly wait to arrive in Nashville for Fan Fair 2001. We got married two years ago and this is our honeymoon trip so we are going to enjoy every moment from sunrise to sunset and beyond. I am looking forward to meeting many of you at the Fan Club Party.

I was in Nashville about three years ago and was told that Marty's sister had a retail store of Marty's items. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the place. Are fans able to purchase items that once belonged to Marty on the net? I would like to own one of his jackets some day. I believe I have all of Marty's music. I started buying his music when he released "Arlene." To this day, I still love that song. Thank you for your time.

I haven't seen Marty in concert since his show in 1992 at Lulu's Roadhouse (the world's longest bar) in Kitchener Ontario, Canada. Every time I see him on TV, I don't move one inch. I am glued. I wish he would come to Ottawa to perform. I converted two friends who thought they were diehard Rock and Roll fans to country music at that Lulu's concert. Of course, my one friend only came because Marty is so good looking. One of the biggest reasons I was there. I told my daughter that I got to kiss Marty after the concert and she was so elated. She stole the kiss right off my lips. I am so glad this guestbook is here.

I have liked Marty since I was 12 years old and I am now 18. He is an outstanding performer and he's a cutie. My favorite song of his is "Hey Baby." He is a really good guy and I just wanted to wish him luck wherever he may be!

I have always loved Marty's singing and playing the guitar, but what intrigues me the most is his "grace"ful character. He reminds me of someone I long to meet face to face -- Jesus Christ, our Lord. Marty is also one of the best looking men in the whole world.

I last saw Marty in Burgettstown, PA and the show was terrific as usual. Marty, come back to the Capital Music Hall and Jamboree in the Hills.

I hope the cutest couple in Nashville had a very Happy Valentine's Day. That goes for Sherry and all the other Marty fans out there, too.

I met Marty and Connie with my husband and daughter at the Opry Mills Mall on the 14th of January and found that they are very down-to-earth and I have been a fan of Marty's for a long time. The two answered questions and signed autographs. I have mine framed. I am looking forward to being an active fan club member.

My all-time favorite song by Marty Stuart has to be...."Me, Hank and Jumpin' Jack Flash." It is off his 1992 release "This One's Gonna Hurt You."

I just love Marty Stuart. He puts on a great show and I always love his performances on the Grand Ole Opry. His best show was in March of 2000 when he brought out that one band. It was great. Have a good one!

I have been listening to Marty for a long time. He is a very nice person. He is so kind to all of his fans.

When I was 13 to 16 years old, my father took me to see my favorite country singer, Marty Stuart eight times. I loved going to every one. I was in the fan club at the time, so that meant I got to visit Marty backstage. The first time I met him, I forgot my name and walked out on clouds. Many times after that, I could talk to him and it was great. My dad bought me the fan club coat. I had Marty sign it. To this day, I have it in my room with all his posters and shirts that I bought at all those concerts. The last time I saw Marty was at Jamboree in the Hills in Ohio. I had my boyfriend walk through the line about 30 times. I used three rolls of film on Marty, but none of the pictures equal up to the one of him and I together in Mansfield, Ohio.

I'm fairly new at this stuff. Don't want to get in too deep, but I must say that Marty is a very interesting individual. I've never had the opportunity to see Marty live, but I love the "Marty Parties." When I get used to this internet stuff, I will come back to this page to check out what's going on. Marty is great! I've followed his career for twenty years when he was touring with Johnny Cash. I saw him and Johnny at the Ohio State Fair and have been in awe ever since. I also saw him at the Biggs Store when he signed an autograph for me. He was performing in Cincinnati with Travis. I also went to see him in Wilmington at the Murphy Theater. The tickets were a Christmas present from my mom. Best present I ever got. Good luck to you, Marty. I'll be watching for the next CD to be released. I wore out one Marty Party CD and had to replace it.

Hi! I think Marty Stuart is one of the best country singers around. I discovered Marty while my family and I visited Nashville. It's nice to see a website that's dedicated to Marty. I am looking forward to Marty's new album.

I was attending the Carbon County Fair and the Connie Smith show and was happy to hear from Marty via a phone call to Connie saying "hi" to everyone.

I have seen Marty a few times in concert and just love his music. I also own a stage jacket that he gave me while he was in Huntington, WV doing a concert. I last saw him several years ago when he was in Huntington with Travis Tritt. I just want to know if he will ever be back to Huntington again? I know he'd remember me. I have lots of pictures of the two of us together.

We really enjoyed the fan club party this year. We just miss seeing Marty in concert. The Alabama fans.

I've met Marty a few times and he's nothin' but a honey. I gave Marty a 45 rpm record that belonged to my folks. One night at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, MI, I went backstage to meet Marty. I told him I had a gift back at the hotel. I later gave it to him as the bus was pulling away. The record was Hank Williams, Sr in its original jacket. I knew he collected country music memorabilia, so I gave this to him. I left my name along with a note inside. I just always wondered if he ever noticed it. Or if he liked his gift. Maybe some day he can tell me!!!!!!

Marty Stuart should be played on the radio more. I commend him for sticking to his roots and doing his music his way. He's a damn good songwriter and an excellent performer/musician. I wish him the very best in everything he does. It's a good thing Nashville has talent like Marty. If anyone here can save country music, it's him. Marty Stuart is THE REAL DEAL!!!!!

My first encounter with that honky tonk sound was in 1992 at the Strawberry Festival in Tampa, FL with my country pals Lucy and Susan. We have attended quite a few concerts and I can honestly say.... What an AWESOME performer!

I don't remember exactly when I fell in love with Marty and his music, but it must have been around 1991. I remember my first concert in Memphis, TN. I saw Marty about three other times in that year. He just has a spirit that makes you love him. I have introduced everyone that I can to Marty Stuart and they all love him also. And I will always have a fond memory of attending a Marty Stuart concert at the Mid-South Fair in Memphis, TN with my mother the week before she died. We had a good time. I have not followed Marty for several years, but I do love him. I have enjoyed visiting this site and catching up.

Heard Marty last night during my first visit to the Grand Ole Opry. Wish I had remembered about him being in Murfreesboro....would have spent the day down there.

I have been a fan of Marty's since 1991. I went to see him at a fair in Jackson, Ohio. I really love his music and how his love for it shows in every song he sings. I have been a fan of Marty's since I first saw him at Horse Pens 40 in about '75 or '76. I was playing in a bluegrass band, the Mud Road String Band and was hanging out at that time with the twins, Randall and Greg Morton, national banjo and flatpicking champions from Memphis. They pointed out the awesome mandolin player who was quite a kid (two years younger than me!). I live in Florence AL, the home of Sam Phillips and, of course, I was glad to see Marty on the A&E special about the "Father of Rock and Roll."

Sherry, I can see you all had a GREAT TIME at Marty's Fan Fair gatherin' .. .. uh .. it (Fan Fair) WAS for MARTY, right? I mean, there really IS no other Country Star WORTHY of all THAT... we know it...Marty knows it...and God knows it too! Anyway, I was bummed that I couldn't make it this year. So, Marty, you are gonna HAVE to get a record deal and come back next year. After all, you wouldn't want poor ole little me, who just found out about your music to be DEPRIVED of seeing you at Fan Fair..uh..right? Or .. better yet, START YOUR OWN LABEL. Yah man! I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Gary Hogue. My memory of Gary was when I came to see Marty in Oregon City at the casino there. The afternoon, prior to the show, the band members were sitting outside the casino. Two friends from the Marty fan club and I walked by. They knew who the boys were. I didn't. They just sat there and chatted and I think it was Gary that said they were Marty's roadies. After the concert, they were sitting on the stage, signing autographs. Gary was the most popular. I recognized him. I said, "Oh roadie, huh?" He just smiled and winked. Nice man. GREAT player, good sense of humor.

Hello! I have been a fan of Marty's for as long as he has been around. I first heard and seen Marty on the Johnny Carson show and I thought, he looks "cool" for country, coming from someone who didn't listen to country music, only rock at the time. Since then, I have become a member of his fan club and I try to get everything I can on Marty! I love him so much! I have every album he has made, I think. Eleven albums in total. If I find out he has more, you can be sure I will eventually have them in my collection.

I have a very good friend named Lois who is a big Marty fan from way back. She is also a Christian with great faith. Lois was diagnosed with cancer. She has had surgery, chemo and radiation and has been doing very well. Last month she was told she has a cancerous brain tumor and is going into the hospital for brain surgery next week. All she wants are tapes of Marty to listen to when she wakes up. "Marty" Medicine. She especially wants to hear The Pilgrim. Great choice, I say! She loves Marty and his music. Keep her in your prayers, please.

I've been a great fan of Marty's for a long time. I got the opportunity to see him in Great Falls, Montana and my friend arranged to have my picture taken with him. Boy, was I tickled. I traveled 110 miles to see him, but I'd travel further to see him. He is a wonderful performer and singer.

I am looking forward to Fan Fair and the Fan Club Party!!!

Miss seeing him this year on tour, but I think he needed a rest from touring. Seems he is very busy. Like the Jeff Foxworthy song with Marty. Haven't seen it yet on CMT but will keep watching.

I just wanted you to know that I've had a lot of fun just reading about Marty and how successful he is. God has really blessed him in so many ways. But the best part about Marty is that he put his talent in so many good activities. Marty has always been a true angel. Even though I don't know him personally, but I feel that Marty has always put God in his work and that's what makes Marty the Country Angel in my eyes. May God Bless you and always be with you.

Hi. My first and last time to see Marty was in the middle 70's at the Grand Ole Opry with Lester Flatt. He had on a little white suit. Marty's black hair cut straight around under that white hat is a favorite memory of mine. I have been to the Opry a few times since then and to country music shows, but I have yet to see Marty again. Two years ago I got to see Connie at our little town coal festival. Connie was great, but when she signed my picture of her, I asked her to sign "Mrs. Marty Stuart" because I love him too. Maybe he will be in my area soon.

My husband is a distant cousin of Marty Stuart. We were fortunate to meet Marty at the fair at Lubbock in 1998 after we had thoroughly enjoyed his performance there. He is just so nice and friendly as can be as well as a wonderful entertainer.

I just would like to voice my opinion and say that Marty Stuart is by far my favorite country singer. I thought his Pilgrim was an excellent country album -- the key word there was country. I also don't like how Marty was given the shaft by radio for "Red, Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs," which is a great song. I have about eight Marty Stuart CDs and they are always playin' in my stereo and they always will. Marty is the man!!!!!

Among other things, Marty is a FANTASTIC writer. I read his article in "Oxford American" magazine and enjoyed it so much. I hope Marty will do some more writing. Even an autobiography would be terrific. Best wishes.

What's to say? I love Marty. He's the cutest little fellow. If I had sons and I could pick them, they would be Marty and Travis. But I have four daughters and two of them think Marty has "the cutest butt." Now I think he has beautiful hair and just plain good looking as heck. I'm from the era before looking at "butts" was the thing.

Marty Rocks and he is a real good guitar player. I one day hope to play guitar with him. That is how cool he is. Every time someone asks me who the best guitarist to ever live or the best singer, I say "Marty Stuart." HE IS THE BEST!

I saw Marty about two years ago at the Imperial Valley Mid Winter Fair. Great show.

Disappointed that the Arnold, MO concert was canceled, but those things happen. I know that after Marty's rest, we are in store for some fantastic entertainment.

Used to live in Nashville for three years and got to know the Stuarts a bit. Marty is "da bomb" and full of style, musical talent, history, and you know all the rest. I could go on and on and on ........

If you ever see Marty, tell him that things at Fiesta Texas wasn't very good this year. Too many broken bones! Maybe at Disneyland, things will be better. I think that's where we will try the next time!

We've been fans since the early 90's and like the old-fashioned country style he sings in.

I love Marty .......

I have only recently discovered Marty, buying "The Pilgrim" and "Marty Party" first up. But I am now back tracking as I can afford the CDs and buying up older ones as I just love his work. I think "The Pilgrim" is just a brilliant album and something completely different. Don't suppose we will ever be lucky enough to see him in person, but I won't give up hope.

Just saw Marty at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN last Monday evening. Oh, what a wonderful show. All the new songs from The Pilgrim and even "Long Black Veil," one of my personal favorites. He met with all of us in a real informal setting, moving from table to table, chatting with each person individually. It was wonderful. We went home with Marty and the Rock and Roll Cowboys on our minds and cannot wait till he comes back to the area again ... soon, we hope. Thanks for a memorable evening with Marty Stuart. I have been a Marty Stuart fan for a long time. Living so far away in western Canada, we don't get to see him live very often. I have all of Marty's CDs. I feel The Pilgrim is a masterpiece that everyone should have in their collection. We all need to vote for Marty to be the Living Legend at next year's TNN Music City News Awards. I am very disappointed with the new direction of TNN television. Without the news from there, I will be looking on the internet to keep me informed.

Hey, I just love the new album. I took it home yesterday and played it and played it and played it. I think I'm becoming a fan.

I think Marty is a wonderful musician and human being.

We have seen Marty and the band play in the past years, but this year has been the greatest. I have been able to go see them more this year than ever before. Lancaster, PA in May, Jamboree in the Hills, St. Clairsville, OH in July, Easton Town Center in Columbus, OH and coming up on the 29th of October, we are going to see him in Burgettstown, PA. Kim and I were keeping them local for too long. It is so cool to plan our trips and work ourselves up to an amazing high for their shows. We are meeting other Marty fans and it's just a wonderful way of life. I would love to some day have a Martyfan Bus that goes all over the country with the other fans and just have a big ole Marty Party with them, enjoying all of their shows, but reality has to hit home for now, especially when you have a family to raise. For now, I will have to settle for what I have. I love my husband and children dearly and do not wish for our little ones to grow up too quickly, but when they do, watch out Margie and Ellie. Kim and I are gonna try our darndest to catch up to your quota. LOL. I'm already getting our 9-year-old daughter Shaina geared up to follow my footsteps in being a true Marty fan. I took her to her first Marty show in Columbus and she had a blast. She can't wait to go to school and share with all her friends that she met Marty and how sweet and good looking he is in person, along with Steve. That was so nice to have his picture taken with her. I loved The Pilgrim CD and have been a friend and a fan since Hillbilly Rock. I really enjoyed Marty's show at the Choctaw Pow Wow in September of this year.

I recently saw Marty at the Big Valley Jamboree this summer. I was a very good show except for the fact that it was so cold and poor Marty looked like he was going to die. Hope he has thawed! Also, I would like to wish Marty a happy belated birthday. Thank you.

I have been a big fan of Marty's since "Tempted" came out. He is so wonderfully talented. It is amazing to watch him. I am 21 years old and I have seen him live over ten times and met him almost as many times. Each time he was so nice and friendly and caring. I went to see the Bob Dylan and Paul Simon show in Nashville in September 8 and, to my wonderful surprise, Marty was Bob's guest musician for the night. I could not have asked for a better show. Marty and Bob were amazing together! Just incredible.

Hi! Received the Fan Club newsletter yesterday. Browsed here for anything new about Marty. Went to North Carolina to see him in May. Thinking about going down to Madison, WI next month. Marty - - keep on singing!!!

I play guitar professionally. I teach it and I play for a girl who is up-and-coming in the music business. I have had a lot of hardships and I have felt like giving up, but somehow I never do and people laugh at me when I say this, but Marty Stuart recharges my battery. If you would say, anyway, my one dream was to some day stand on the stage with my musical hero. Well a year ago, I did -- at Planet Hollywood in Nashville, one hour before the Music City News awards. I played the guitar while he sang. The song was "Happy Birthday," believe it not. Not the kind of song that would show off what I can do. So I got up there. I was nervous, but I got through it., Not that it was hard, of course. It is an easy song, but at that moment a dream came true and I was living a dream that only some get to. After I was done, I looked into my mentor's eyes and said, "If this is the only thing I ever get to do, I am satisfied," and I hope he realized what he had done. He answered a prayer. Hopefully, someday I will get to do that again and get to tell him "thanks." and I love him for teaching me to play guitar. There have been other musical moments with Marty. I got to meet Marty for the first time at the meet and greet in Hebron, CT. I have been to many of his shows but never was a fan club member until this year. His assistant was so pleasant to us and I got to take my sister's picture with him. I had given her a fan club membership for her birthday last year. She was just thrilled and it will be a life-long memory for her. We're a little old to be groupies, but we sure love Marty and his band. Thanks, Marty.

I just saw Marty for the first time in concert at the Hebron Fair in Hebron, CT. It was really great to see him. He really looks great in those tight pants.

What can I say -- I saw Marty LIVE for the first time in May 1999 in Reno. I forgot my husband was sitting next to me. What a show. He's talented, drop-dead gorgeous and, most of all, just a wonderful person? How can I tell? just by looking into his eyes -- even though they are a little mischievous -- okay -- a lot. He is what every red-blooded woman would want in a man. Some of us are lucky -- we already have it!

I saw Marty perform last night in Marianna, Florida. You guys missed a great show.

Marty Stuart is my favorite singer, songwriter, and entertainer. I've seen him twice in Georgia and traveled to Nashville and Dollywood to see him perform. He is a very warm and caring person and he truly loves his fans. I was amazed the first time I met him. He knew his fans by name. No matter how tired he is or how hot it is, he stays for his fans. Keep the great music coming.

I saw Marty in Camrose Alberta Canada at the Big Valley Jamboree. He played on the Friday evening and it was very cold. But he was a trouper and even played longer due to the fact that Lorrie Morgan had canceled at the last minute.

I was involved with promoting the concert February 20, 1999 at the Eisenhower High School gym in Decatur, Illinois. The concert was a benefit for the Police Benevolent and Protective Association Unit #39 of Decatur. Marty Stuart, his band and crew were the utmost professional of persons and perfect gentlemen, and one could only hope the rest of the music industry could model itself from this group!

Being a former DJ, I had the opportunity to meet Marty at the Radio Seminar in 1993. I had a great time talking to him and getting liners for my station. We had our picture taken together and now it's in my scrapbook along with pictures of Connie Smith from years gone by. I miss those days and meeting the stars of country music.

We enjoy Marty's music and catch every show of his in our area. We'll be at the next one this Friday night. Can't wait.

I think The Pilgrim is an important album to country music. I enjoy it a lot. I was thrilled to hear Johnny Cash on it as I am a huge Johnny Cash fan. I hope this CD will get a lot of airplay to show some new country listeners what great music is. I had the opportunity to see Marty live about six years ago when he played a festival in Fort Erie, Ontario and you can tell just by his facial expressions how much he loves country music. I believe he will get better recognition as a country musician and justifiably so. He is one of the most important country artists around. Thanks for the wallpaper of The Pilgrim cover. It is now on my computer.

I have just finished watching "The Life and Times of Marty Stuart" on TNN. Great!!! I couldn't get over some of the similarities to parts of my own life. My daughter is a singer and started very young just like Marty. She has gone from country to rock and blues, just like Marty. I am a songwriter and my husband is 16 years younger than I am, just like Marty and Connie. I have always admired Marty and Connie individually, but they are super together. All my best wishes for continued happiness and success to them both.

Started listening to country about the time Marty's solo career took off. Marty is one of the most consistent performers in the industry. I've seen concerts in New Berlin, IL ('92 with Mark Chesnutt), Taylorville, IL (twice), and Decatur, IL (Eisenhower High School). I'm wearing The Pilgrim out on my CD player. Thanks, Marty.

I have been a fan of Marty's for a long time. To me, he is one of the greatests. I respect all that he stands for. During Fan Fair, I have attended three of his parties and can't say enough about them. On The Pilgrim, it is one of the best that Marty has done. I listen to it in my car and in my house all the time. Now I just hope that everyone will see just how talented Marty truly is. I recently wrote an article to a country music magazine about how great I thought that this album was. Hopefully, it might get printed. I will let you know. In 1994, I wrote to Marty and sent him a picture of my Golden Retriever I named Marty Stuart's Weasel. I told him about his musical influence on the way I played my music in my concert, symphonic and jazz bands and how I'd won many contests playing his sheet music. Marty sent me back an autographed picture which he wrote "Leah, Keep playing music. Love Marty Stuart." I joined the Army in the last year and am now stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX and I just found out Marty will be here in September and I was wondering if there would be any way to get backstage passes or something so I could meet him. Please let me know. I can tell him how my dog is doing and ask him how Oscar Lee has been. I was in the fan club for a while but moved and I never received the renewal form. Sorry.

Love Marty Stuart!! He is one of the most talented musicians I hear. He is the most fantastic songwriter, singer and instrumentalist alive today. Does not get the credit he deserves. I have every one of his CDs. Had to call the Ernest Tubb Record shop to get the early ones. Love them to death, along with him. He is FANTASTIC.

In my opinion, Marty Stuart is truly a country music legend. I appreciate any artist who honors country music as he does. He put on a great set at Fan Fair this year and the new album (The Pilgrim) is definitely one of the best albums of the decade.

You know, I'm not really much into country music. There is just something about Marty that makes me smile. I think it is his eyes and smile. When he sings, he just lights up the place. I've kind of had a crush on him for the last six years. But it was really just his personality. A little wild, yet still charming. I know it just has to be his eyes. I love most of his music, but "Tempted" is my favorite song. You know, if I had one wish, it would be to have someone like Marty in my life ... he would make the perfect big brother. You know, right before I got divorced, my husband was a truck driver and I went with him. He was always mad and somewhat abusive. We would get into bad fights and he would just be yelling, or worse, not speaking to me, and one of Marty's and/or Travis' songs would come on and I could focus on the songs. Some of the songs made me laugh. The only time I could the whole six months I was with him on the truck. If was like I could get away from the anger a little. It is funny how a song or two can take you away. Like when the song "Tempted" played. It reminded me of how my mom and sister would sit and stare at Marty's boots ... I think they were in lust with him. They reminded me of my two basset hounds. You know that sad puppy dog look they get when they really want something they can't have. That made me tough. Anyway, I don't know why I said all of this, except to say "thanks" to Marty for making a difference. At least in my life.

Marty Stuart is the best. I love the song "The Pilgrim" and when he sang it on TNN's Prime Time Country, it was so nice. I love the way Marty plays the mandolin. All of his music is great, and he is just the sweetest person to meet. Thank you for being such a wonderful guy, Marty, and taking time out for the fans. That means so much to me. I am a big fan of Marty's as much as my wife is. I do try to take her to see Marty as often as we can. We have seen him at least 50 times or more. Hoping to reach 100 some day. Marty is one of the nicest people around. The new album The Pilgrim is the best. I listen to it a lot when my wife is at work since she works days and I work nights.

Great new album.

Well, I have listened to The Pilgrim, oh, about six or seven times now and it is a piece of art. I don't know how you would follow that up. It is by far the best thing I have heard. It should win some awards, but who knows. The Johnny Cash ending gives me goosebumps every time that I hear it. The whole CD is so well done, that it's truly unbelievable. My only concern is RADIO play (which really shouldn't be a concern because most radio stuff is trash). I have called the local station 14 times for "Red, Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs" and they have not played it yet. This is on WFMS in Indianapolis. WFMS won Station of the Year a year or two ago at one of the award shows. It is a major station in Indiana and has millions of listeners, so I don't like the response from them. The best thing WFMS can do is play "Two Teardrops" every other song. Give me a break. What songs do you think are radio songs or possible hits off the record? I really like every song on the CD and can and will listen to it all the time. I think that this work puts Marty on a whole new level and it may be a level above everyone else. HE NEEDS, DESERVES, AND IS WAY OVERDUE MAJOR RECOGNITION FOR HIS WORK! It's awesome. It's WOW, It's exactly what you said .. the best album that country music has ever had. Talk to you later. I have been a Marty Stuart fan for over five years. I think he is a very nice man and extremely talented. I have seen him several times at Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth. He always seems to take the time to talk with his fans. I have a tape of Marty when he and Vince Gill backed Johnny Cash. I saw him in the movie Fire Down Below with Steven Segal. Also saw him at KSCS Country at Texas Stadium at least two times. Finally got a radio station to play Marty's new song tonight. When I called the station, the DJ said, "It's a good one, isn't it?" and when it came on, he told everyone to turn their radios up. Three other stations don't seem to have it.

I really enjoy Marty's music. I have only seen him once in concert. That was two years ago in Grants Pass, Oregon. I missed him when he played in Yreka, California.

I called a radio station in Indianapolis last night (May 12) and they knew not one thing about the new Marty single. Has the song been released? I'm tired of waiting.

Hello Sherry! It's me again. Just wanted to drop a quick note before I leave tomorrow for Sparks, NV. I am so excited to finally see Marty and the R&R Cowboys again. It's been too long since I've seen them live. I will be in Sparks until the 17th, so I hope to have a lot of exciting new for you and the rest of the fans who will not be able to attend. I am looking forward to running into some of the fan club members and getting to know them.

I love Marty. He is the best country music performer around. He really enjoys playing but I think he really has fun when Travis is around. They really have fun together. I love watching them together because you never know what is going to happen next.

Marty Stuart is GREAT!!!!!!!

I've been a long-time fan of Marty's since 1989 after they performed a benefit concert here after Hurricane Hugo. He has been great ever since and deserves the mantle of reigning "Country Music Icon." Last summer, after a show in Myrtle Beach, Marty signed a custom-built Telecaster I had made. He played it a little and put his signature on the back of the headstock. He then told me about a special model that Fender was going to put out as a Marty Stuart Signature Edition, but I have not been able to find out any info about it or if it is still coming out.

I've enjoyed Marty from the first time I heard "Hillbilly Rock. " I am thrilled that he has done so well in his career and continues to help people in need of jobs in the Tennessee area ... and that he married the love of his life, Connie.

Hello. I would like to say that Marty Stuart is an all-American man. He is one of a kind. The thing I love about his music is it expresses an all-around kind of country explosion. For one, he uses a touch of bluegrass, mixed with rock-n-roll guitar and steel, and last, but not least, put all these things in a honky tonk song and you've got it -- REAL COUNTRY -- I forgot the fiddle, sorry. P.S. I think Marty should do a whole album with Travis Tritt. They seem to work so good together. All the songs they did together in past sounded wonderful. Maybe some day, we hope.

I am a huge Marty Stuart fan and I also really like the Rock-N-Roll Cowboys. I am going to see them in three weeks at Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing, MN and I can't wait!

I have been given the opportunity to see Marty two times in concert; but, unfortunately, I have never been able to meet him. That has been a dream of mine for many years. You don't find too many people out there these days that enjoy true country music. Marty definitely keeps country alive and well.

I have always loved Marty Stuart. I'm sure there are countless fans out there just like me whose lives and world has been limited to their backyards. We've never traveled to concerts, have had no exposure to computers. Have never belonged to any fan clubs before .. instead, we've stayed home and SILENTLY LOVED Marty Stuart. He should be shocked to know how many of us there are out there and he may never know. If all of us fans could find the time and means to travel, the concert halls would never hold us.

I have been a fan club member for four to five years and I just got my computer. I really enjoy Marty's music and have had the chance to meet him several times.

I love Marty. Looking forward to Fan Fair this summer.

Marty Stuart is one of the greatest country singers there is. I've meet him twice and he is the sweetest man.

Marty keeps us very much in touch with real country music.

I love Marty Stuart. I am a mother of six-year-old triplet sons and they love to listen to him and sing along with him too. I am also a big fan of Connie Smith. It's great to see her making a comeback. Maybe in the near future, they'll do a duet??? Loving Marty in Corpus Christi, TX.

I'm a big Marty Stuart fan from the land of the Midnight Sun. I'm a guitar man myself and every once in a while, I do a Marty song. My personal favorites are 1. "Wheels," 2. "You Can Walk All Over Me," 3. "Coal MIne Blues," 4"Cry, Cry, Cry," 5, "Paint The Town Tonight."

Marty doesn't seem to play Texas very much. Why do you suppose that is?

I have some outstanding photos of Marty (one of which was in Country Weekly - a friend sent it in - boy was I surprised to see it there!!!!!) So I'll send them in for your photo page when I get a chance. Just ask SJG. I shot 10 rolls of film at Wheeling, WV three years ago. I've got six or seven albums of shots and I use them to make t-shirts to wear to concerts. Ask Mike Copelin about his "If Mike isn't happy, ain't NOBODY happy" shirt I gave him a few years ago. Give Stuart a hug and kiss from me. The lady with the gold horseshoe on her tooth.

I'm a fan of country and rock music but, when I hear Marty singing, well my day can't be better. The 5th of November, my brother and I were on holiday in Nashville. So close to the Bluebird Cafe where Marty was singing. But we didn't know it. It was our first visit but not our last. We wish Marty and Sherry a Happy New Year and maybe we will see them when he's making a tour in Europe ???

We are anxiously awaiting any info on Marty's Fan Club Party. Does he intend to have it at Smackey Wackey Hollow again? He cracks me up!! We are so excited to see him in February1! Jordan wonders if he will remember him ... I hope he does.
