A Fan Reviews the Video "Red, Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs"

Now about the VIDEO " Red Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs." We thoroughly enjoyed it and were amazed at the quality of the video. There was obviously a lot of thought that went into the scripting and the direction the video was taking you. We especially enjoyed the very ending (had to run it 4 more times and turn up the volume to hear his last word "PILGRIMS." Nice exit for this video and setup for the next.

The guys looked good and very professional at whatever they were doing whether showing off Brad's tonsils or Gregg's doo (I think that's right). They all looked sharp. Have to admit thought that Marty stole the show. He has to be the most charming personable person on (or off) camera Linda and I have had the pleasure to meet. His personality jumps out at you with this video and can he ever make a face.

Linda and I locked in our votes ( privately ) and then put them in the computer. Let the computer crunch the numbers ( I wrote a special program ) and out came the result. As my Grandson is currently saying, "Tah Da !" ( drum roll please ) Computer results from sophisticated programming with unbiased questionnaires give the video "Red, Red Wine and Cheatin' Songs" by Marty Stuart and the Rock & Roll Cowboys from the new album THE PILGRIM 6 stars out of 5. It is concluded that this video is a smash.

Mr. Marty Stuart and the Rock & Roll Cowboys bring all of their expertise, personalities, fun loving and charismatic selves alive right in your own front room. Here is a video that shows that not all country music has to be solemn, or grandiose, or shot out in the wilds of the wilderness where no man has gone before. This is just a fun loving video (love the circus flair) of a great country song. I also find it hard for something to be "too" country. How about E.T, Hank W., Tennessee Ernie Ford, or the Man in Black. Just tell them their "too" country and that their music would not fit in today's country. Watch and see what happens. You would have hit after hit of some of the best music of all time and that is right where Marty Stuart is today.

There were two other points that should have been mentioned about the video. First, I absolutely love the black and white intro along with the solo piano music. It is a great lead in to the video. Second, how many other stars out there are able ( no mention of ages either ) to jump around, root and scoot and show as much energy as Marty. Garth Brooks is the only one that comes close and that's only when the video is of a live concert. Then a large part of that is him showing off some crazy stunt. No crazy stunts. No trick photography. No look alikes. Just an energized and happy person. Marty Stuart along with his R&R Cowboys take the top spot for making a completely energized video that leaves a person with a happy
feeling inside. It was a pleasure to do this review.
