On Thursday, June 14, 2001, Marty and Travis Tritt were at Tootsie's to tape a segment for NBC's Dateline (scheduled to air in July 2001). CMT also interviewed the two. Marty had invited folks to be a part of it, not knowing it was actually to be a private affair. Several of Marty's fans went to Tootsie's, only to be told to leave.
