Foots Club, Brooksville, Kentucky on August 23, 2003

I went to the Brooksville KY, show Saturday night. My first show in over a year. Marty was great!!!! However Merle and Marty did not sing together unless they did it after we left. It was a drunken brawl everywhere you looked, cops hauled them out in cuffs to paddy wagons! We stayed for all of Marty but when Merle came out things got worse so we listened to 5 songs and got out of dodge before the idiots got on the road!

Marty signed at the booth before the show I got a couple shirts and he asked "Where you been?" I told him about my mom and he said he was so sorry, he said, "I love my mama." Then he gave me a great big hug, best one yet!!! He did most the usual stuff but he did "Don't Come Home A Drinkin' with Lovin' on Your Mind." That was different, and "Get Down On Your Knees and Pray." That was awesome!
