Dollywood - Pigeon Forge, TN on July 4, 1999

If you are wondering what kind of explosion was at Dollywood, well it was Marty coming on stage and exploding with the awesome talent that he has. The man was full of energy and yet very relaxed and obviously ready to rock, which he did. He looked great. The first show he was dressed in black with pink, I think it was, trim. The second show he wore white with black shirt. MUMMMMMM!!!!!!!

His singing was strong and he was dancing all over the stage. His playing on the mandolin was incredible. So much talent this man has. His version of "Blue Train" (a song of Johnny Cash's) was like having Johnny there picking for us. That Cash sound has been missed by a lot of people and Marty just revived it. His few songs from The Pilgrim were great. A song of John Prine's got the place rockin. All the band was in top form.

A great ending to a fantastic show was the meet and greet. Marty came out in shorts showing off those great legs!!!!!! Very relaxed and anxious to see every one. He gave lots of autographs, hugs, and kisses. I just can't find enough adjectives to describe him or the show. Hope all of you can make it next year.
